See an ‘authentic Tuscan home’ in the heart of Dallas’ Preston Hollow
Co-listing agent Terri Cox called this Preston Hollow home “authentic Tuscan” for a number of reasons. The homeowners — who had the house built — traveled to Italy to source items for the home.
Its design features a stone exterior, an Italian tile roof, a gallery-like hallway with arched ceiling details and a wine cellar.
Cox said visiting the home feels like leaving the city.
“When you are there, you have a sense of being transported out of Dallas straight to Tuscany,” she said.
And perhaps we could all use an Italian vacation, no?
The 12,612-square-foot home sits on a little more than an acre, and it has a guest house, a pool, a four-car garage and abundant outdoor living space. Its six bedrooms, six bathrooms and two half-bathrooms fill the two floors of the main house, and the guest house has an added bedroom or living space and a bathroom and kitchenette.
The home at 5335 Meaders Lane was completed in 2011, Cox said, and took 5 years to build. It’s on the market for the first time at $10,250,000, listed by Cox and Kyle Crews of Allie Beth Allman & Associates.
Wood beams accent the ceilings in rooms throughout the house. The kitchen features stone walls and custom cabinets and has a nearby breakfast area. Though the house is two stories, there is an underground wine cellar with room for seating.
The primary suite on the first floor has a vaulted ceiling and wooden beams to accent it, along with a fireplace. There is a generous en suite bathroom with two water closets and two separate dressing areas, as well as a shared shower and bathtub area.
Another bedroom on the first floor is generally used as a guest suite on the opposite side of the home. Four bedrooms sit on the second floor, each with en suite bathrooms. The home also has a media room, a game room, an exercise room, a study and formal living and dining rooms.
Outside the home is kitchen, a sitting area and a screened porch along the gallery hallway.
The home also has a geothermal HVAC system and a generator.
